Help someone stay warm, please?
Beginning November 1st thru November 19th, Prudential California Realty is sponsoring a ‘One Warm Coat’ Drive benefiting Union Rescue Mission. A clean, reusable sweater or coat donated during those dates will go directly toward our precious guests facing a damp, cold Los Angeles winter.
Concerned individuals, families, neighborhoods or business can contact local Prudential agents for directions about home pick-up or go to a Prudential Collection Center.

As the holidays approach, we are in need of items that our teens would enjoy and find practical. Some of these items include but are not limited to:
- Hoodies or jackets
- Skinny jeans
- Hats (sports team related preferred)
- Electronics (hand-held gaming systems, mp3’s, portable DVD players, etc.)

Both URM and Hope Gardens Family Center are in need of new clothes with the cold weather and holiday season approaching. Cold weather needs include but are not limited to:
- Jackets for Hope Gardens guests (boys, girls, and women)
- Bras and socks
- Rubber boots

As URM feeds approximately 3,000 meals daily, donated feed is consistently a blessing to receive. Hungry men, women, and children come through our doors every day and are served a meal, often the only meal they will receive that day. Some food items you could provide to bless those in need include but are not limited to:
- Fresh Fruit (apples, oranges, bananas, grapes, etc.)
- Fresh Vegetables (lettuce, onions, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, etc.)
- Eggs
- Rice
- Frozen meat
- Beans
- Canned goods
- Milk
And as Thanksgiving is just around the corner, frozen turkeys are in high demand at URM.

Union Rescue Mission is need of hygiene products to pass out to the guests who come to us in need. As the cold weather approaches, the number of people that come to our doors in need of these products increases. Here is a list of what is needed:
- Shampoo
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Deodorant
- Soap
- Combs/Brushes
- Feminine Care Products
- Adult Diapers
- Baby Formula

Our hard working custodial staff does an excellent job at keeping URM clean and sanitary, helping our guests feel comfortable and respected. Your help in donating cleaning supplies is a small way to help those that come through our doors feel right at home. Here is a list of what is needed:

We are in need of a multi-passenger golf cart (gas or electric powered) for use at our Hope Gardens Family Center. The staff use golf carts to transport families, senior women, residents, and donors around the property.
Along with golf carts our Hope Gardens Family Center is in need of two gas powered utility vehicles (4X4 preferred). During the rainy season utility vehicles are used for transportation and to access parts of Hope Gardens that are otherwise very difficult to reach. Additionally they are used for fire-watch, nature hikes for the kids, and daily maintenance.

URM is in need of 6 to 8 large flat screen TVs to put up for our guests. Four TVs would be placed in our men’s day room, one would be placed in our women’s guest chapel, and one would be placed on the fourth floor for our single mothers.

With the Holiday season approaching gift cards are practical and deeply appreciated. Retail and gas gift cards are needed to use within the Mission to purchase essential items, and to pass out to guests.
