Water Walk Changes Lives, One Bottle of Water at a Time

Summers in Southern California can get hot, but for the people on Skid Row, the heat can be excruciatingly painful, and even life-threatening. That’s why we go out every time the temperature is 85 degrees or more to hand out bottles of cold water to our neighbors on Skid Row. It’s amazing what something as seemingly small as giving a bottle of water on a hot day can do to someone who feels alone, exhausted, and unloved.

    Question, What happened to Carlos?

    I too would like to do the water walk sometime on a tueday or thursday. It is because of the love of Jesus that I am here today. I firmly believe that the Lord puts people in one’s walk to open the door to a new life.

    My brother Carlos went home to the Lord in his sleep. He did his work blessed his family and lived each day full of life.

    I want to thank the Mission and everyone who touched my brothers life and who’s life he touched.
