Andy’s End of Month Update: July 2010

The effects of homelessness are tremendous for everyone who comes through our doors, but especially so for the children that we meet. Besides higher chances of getting sick, emotional distress due to instability, and disadvantages in school, kids experiencing homelessness don’t get to have the usual joys of just being a kid.  That’s why we try to make life as fun as possible for the kids at Union Rescue Mission. This month was filled with events and activities for kids of all ages – from Vacation Bible School to water games on the roof top of the Mission, we have had lots to celebrate and be thankful for!
